Who: This program is for children ages 6 through 9 (1st-3rd Grade) or older, as well as mature 5 year olds (Kindergarten level) who are able to obey safety rules, to handle animals gently and respectfully, to follow spoken instructions, and to stay engaged for the full 2-1/2 hour class
Parents are invited to attend as chaperones and educators. Parents and non-enrolled siblings are also welcome to stay and explore Gale Woods Farm on their own during the class period

Description

Join the Gale Woods Farmers for farming fun. Learn how the farmers care for the animals and gardens through out the year. Each month we will care for the animals and cook with farm produce in the education center. Explore the farm through hikes, wagon rides and games. Each month will have a different seasonal focus.

Parents and non-enrolled siblings

• Parents and non-enrolled siblings are welcome to stay and explore Gale Woods Farm on their own during the class period.
• Parents are also invited to participate in the class as chaperones and educators, however, non-enrolled siblings may not participate.

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early in order to have plenty of time to do so.

If your circumstances change and you find that are unable to attend, please let the organizer know as soon as possible via email. No refunds will be issued after the cancellation deadline.

Please arrive by:

Please plan to arrive no later than 12:45pm in order to have plenty of time to find parking, check in with the Farm Educator, pay Gale Woods Farm, visit the bathrooms and otherwise prepare for our program to start promptly. Please plan to be early to avoid being late due to inadequate maps, confusing road signs, road construction, heavy traffic, parking difficulties, inclement weather or uncooperative children. If you find that despite your best efforts, you are running unavoidably late, please let the Gale Woods Farm know, 763-694-2001.

Please meet your Farm Educator in the reception area of the Farm Education Center

Alternate plans:

Farm Explorers will not be cancelled due to weather. Please plan accordingly and dress appropriately.
